Our expert ghostwriters will work to create a full working draft from your notes or suggestions, creating a working manuscript which can then be taken into the polishing and editing service. While this is going on our graphic design and layout team will be busy creating an industry-standard barcode for your book, a professionally designed cover and inner book layout.

You will be consulted at every critical stage of the design and compilation process putting you in charge of your book project. Once your book has been completed, depending on the publishing option you have chosen you can have the pleasure of seeing it on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and being able to order it from any bookstore in the English-speaking world.

During our Self-Publishing Stage you will be provided with:

One-on-one author support: When you publish with us, we will schedule a conference call for you to talk with one of our Publishing Editors who will ascertain the exact genre of your book. Help you define the scope characteristics of its design and create the project profile which will guide the team designing your book.
ISBN assignment: At Web Direct Studio we will provide a unique International Standard Book Number at no extra charge so booksellers can find and order your book. ISBNs are necessary so a book can be inventoried in bookshop and retail outlet databases and it can be shipped through the books-fulfilment program which places books in bookshops on both sides of the Atlantic.
Custom interior design: Your book interior is custom-designed based on your input during the design call with your Publishing Editor. It will reflect your book's unique identity and work to create a brand name out of you, the author.
Electronic proof: As your design team completes work on your book, you will receive electronic proof copies of your galley (book interior) and cover to approve.
Custom full-colour cover: Two designers will work to create a unique, eye-catching cover which will increase your book's impact, will reflect your vision and will help make it more marketable.
Online distribution: When your book is finished, it will be publicised through the book-supply line which will make it available for order at thousands of online booksellers, including Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, and W.H. Smith's online book stores.
Professional Marketing Consultation: Our Publishing Editor will work with you to choose the best plan for your goals and to help you take advantage of any additional marketing channels or marketing opportunities which can increase the revenue you can expect from your book as well as its reach.
Image Insertion (10 included): If you'd like images to appear in your book, we can work with you to place them. Images can be provided by you or we can source them for you as part of a separate agreement.

How long will it take: The average zero-to-print project takes between 10 and 12 weeks. Occasionally some things can be fast-tracked but this is the length of time you should have in mind for completion.

What affects costs: When it comes to your project you should bear in mind that some costs are governed by the services you access. The level of expertise required for additional research and the depth of expertise required for the writing itself (medical and technical writings, for instance always are more expensive because of the expertise involved). Special cover requirements can also affect costs. At every stage your project manager will advise you on the best options for you and will work to find ways to save you money.
